"I have a very serious question for you all"

Maybe more serious than @kimwhkim 's questions. Marketing hype is important whether we admit it or not. In high school this was very prevalent: if a lot of guys started liking this girl, she was immediately perceived as more attractive, though nothing objectively would distinguish her among the rest.

So I was wondering, does this apply to guys too if a lot of girls like him?
